Billing & Insurance

Serving the Gulf Coast Region with locations in Mobile and Baldwin Counties

Generally, fees charged in this office are reasonable and customary, and comparable with those charged in other orthopaedic practices in our region.
Patients are expected to pay all co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles at the time of service. Self-pay patients are required to pay a minimum1 that may not include the additional costs of x-rays, injections, or medical equipment/supplies. Patients without insurance are eligible for discounted services2.
As a courtesy, we submit insurance claims on behalf of our patients. However, it is important to have the correct insurance information at the time of your appointment and notify our staff of any changes in your coverage during your care at Gulf Orthopaedics.
We participate in most insurance plans3; although ultimately it is the patient’s responsibility to verify our facility4 is considered ‘in network’ with their provider before making an appointment. Depending on the type of health insurance, patients may be required to get a referral from their Primary Care Physician5. To learn more about benefits, coverage, and the requirements of their individual policies, we recommend patients read their policy book or contact their insurance provider directly.
